Saturday, May 16 & Sunday, May 17
10 am - 4 pm
Texture is one of the most expressive and visually rich elements in visual art. Whether evoking the character of a material or surface, or generating intricate patterns, texture appeals to our tactile sensibilities and determines the perception of space, scale, and distance. In this workshop, participants will create a small archive of textural studies and explore techniques for achieving various textural effects through both collagraph and copper etching processes.
Participants are invited to explore points of technical intersection and will receive guidance on printing methods that enhance the expressive qualities of textural surfaces.
Participants are responsible for the materials on the Supply List.
This workshop is limited to 8 participants.
