Learn the basics or get a refresher on intaglio printing. Starting with dry-point, learn how to physically make incised marks and textures on a plate that will hold ink for printing. After learning the fundamentals of inking, wiping, and printing an intaglio plate, you will learn various approaches to etching lines, tones, and textures into a copper plate using BIG etching ground. You will have the opportunity to experiment, rework your plate, and combine different techniques to create an editionable print.
Class enrollment includes studio access to work on class projects during posted Open Hours.
Participants are responsible for providing materials on the Supply List.
